Special seminar on the 10th anniversary of Great East Japan Earthquake. 

Speaker: Dr. Robert Geller, University of Tokyo.

Speaker bio: 
Dr. Robert Geller has been outspoken professionally and publicly regarding the limitations of what we know and what we can know about earthquakes. He joins us this month as we recall the experience of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and the subsequent tsunami and nuclear disasters which profoundly effected not only the Tohoku region but all of Japan. The seminar will last around 30 minutes to allow for 20-30 minutes of question and answer time. The seminar is intended for the general public and thus for ALL at ELSI. While the seminar will be in the English, Dr. Geller is fluent in Japanese (author of several books) and could take questions in English and Japanese.
