Astrobiology Graduate Conference (AbGradCon) will take place on September 14-18, 2020 at ELSI. In order to guarantee a spot in the meeting, all attendees are required to submit an abstract here: https://www.abgradcon.org/applications

The abstract submission deadline is on March 15, 2020!  All graduate students and early career postdocs are encouraged to apply. Travel funds for some young researchers around the world have also been secured, so please contact your colleagues and collaborators so they can encourage their students to apply as well!

For those who are unfamiliar with AbGradCon, it is an annual conference specifically for graduate students and early-career postdocs, organized and executed by graduate students and early-career postdocs, who study the diverse topics encompassing the field of astrobiology. The conference’s main theme will be international collaboration, and we hope to have representation from North and South America, Japan, Asia and Oceania, Europe, and Africa from a variety of fields including biology, astrobiology, chemistry, planetary science, geology, astronomy, and many more. We plan to have career development events such as science communication workshops, a career panel, keynote speakers by leaders in the field, and field excursions to various related research centers around the Tokyo area. ELSI is a regular sponsor of this event. This year, in addition to continued sponsorship from NASA Astrobiology Program, we have also secured sponsorship from the Japan Astrobiology Center, Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, the Aquaplanetology Project, and ELSI-FirstLogic Astrobiology Donation Program, among others.
