Abstract:
Compartmentalization is an essential property of primitive life, and can exist in various forms. Through speakers and discussions about various types of primitive compartments, assembly, functions, and evolution of primitive compartments, and techniques which can produce such compartments in the lab, we hope to gain a greater understanding of the conditions and functions of primitive compartments that eventually led to the first cells.
Purpose of the event: To present some of the work done by ELSI researchers, collaborators, and other researchers in the Tokyo area on primitive compartments and also to have discussions about such topics.
